Dr. Manny Rapp opened Adaven Children’s Dentistry in September 2002 and from the beginning, our goal has been to help each child who comes into our office to have a positive dental experience. This will help ensure that they have a lifetime of good oral health. His associate, Dr. Nina L. Mirzayan, joined us in 2004.
In case you were wondering where the name “Adaven” comes from, we will tell you. “Adaven” is a backward spelling of our home state, Nevada! The idea came to Dr. Manny this is what the kids call him while at Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska. Multiple places in Nebraska are named “Aksarben”, which is Nebraska spelled backward. If it is good for Nebraskans, then it is good for Nevadans!
We hope that you find your visit to our office very comfortable and educational. We have a very child-friendly office and staff and are committed to treating each patient with concern and respect. We look forward to seeing you!
Dr. Manny Rapp
Dr. Manny Rapp has been practicing dentistry in Henderson, Nevada since 2002. He is a native of Las Vegas and graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha Nebraska. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. It was his desire to return to the state that he loves to practice dentistry.
He married his wife, Kim, in 1985 and has four children. He is active in his church and in the community as a Boy Scout leader and athletic coach for his children’s teams. He donates his dental services each month as a member of the Craniofacial Team with Nevada Early Intervention Services, through the State of NV Health & Human Services. He is credentialed at several local hospitals, where he provides dental treatment under general anesthesia for children who cannot be successfully treated in the dental office. He treats children up to the age of 18, but treats special needs patients of any age. He is also licensed to use light oral sedation and nitrous oxide.
His patients love him because of his gentle touch and nurturing manner. He tries to make visiting the dental office a fun and positive experience for each and every child. As a parent himself, he understands that each patient is different and requires special attention. He also understands that parents often are more apprehensive about a dental visit than their children and can put them at ease. He surrounds himself with staff that are supportive to that goal.

Among her credentials is an oral conscious sedation license, which allows her to calm even the most frightened child. Dr. Nina makes an impact in her local community as well as on the other side of the world. She has traveled twice to Armenia to provide volunteer dental care to orphans in this historic land.
For her commitment to excellence, Dr. Nina has been recognized as one of the area’s Top 50 Dentists by 215 South Magazine.
